Section Manager

Your site is divided up into sections, which are listed in the top navigation of your site. Exactly where this navigation appears will depend entirely on the design of your site.

Click sections in the Admin Bar to open the Section Manager.

The Section Manager allows you to create, rename and delete site sections.

Each section has the following options:

Section Name:

The name of your section as it will appear in the top level of your site's navigation.

Position:

Where the section will appear in your navigation.

search....

Each site section has two search options:

whole site

By default the search is set to search the content of your entire site.

section only

Selecting this will restrict users to searching just this section's content. Handy if, for instance, you just want your users to search for products when they are in the catalogue section of an online store.

Page Type:

Each section can contain standard content pages, which can include text and images. In addition to standard pages, they can also contain varous specialist pages; see Page Types for more info.

Restrictions

Weblobe gives you the ability to restrict access to any section of your site. This will require visitors to that section to enter a password before being allowed access. Handy if you want to restrict access to existing clients, family and friends, or if you want to sell access to specific information.

Remove

This removes the section in question from you navigation, effectively making it invisible and inaccessible. Any pages you created within a section will remain, users just won't be able to get to them unless they happen to know the page's address.

Adding New Sections:

At the bottom of your section edit form there is a blank section; enter the name for a new section here and click 'save' to create a new section.
